To Post or Not to Post - That is the Question...

This is one of those outfits that as the day went on I just grew to hate it more and more.  I guess that is what happens when you don't really take the time to plan out your outfit.  Instead you open up your closet and think "What will I NOT wear during the 30 for 30 challenge?" (even though this pink tee might very well end up in the included pile).  And then you start pulling stuff out and say to yourself, "Hey self, I think this might actually work!" And both the lying mirror and the mirror of truth say, "Hey, yeah, this might actually work!".  Then you take your photos and the camera says, "I think it truly might be ok!".  So you go to work all confident in your wardrobe choice.  But then the day goes on and the women's bathroom mirror says, "Honey, what were you thinking?" and the reflection in the glass doors throughout the office say, "Giiirrrllll, what in the world??" and then your hair starts rebelling against you and so up it goes into a non-attractive ponytail, even though there is no one to attract at the office, so why do I even care?  Because of vanity, that is why.  Pure vanity.

So I will go home and change lickedty-split into my sweats/pjs (which I usually do anyway) and call this outfit done.  I debated about even posting it, but decided for authenticity's sake that even not the best outfit ever deserves to be posted :).

Anyway, hallelujah, Monday has come to an end.  I've had a bad case of the Mondays today I tell you, a bad case.  Time to go home to Chris Harrison and The Bachelor. Can't wait to see the tale of Michelle's black eye!!

Sweater, Tee, Belt, Headband - J.Crew

I had the same kind of day today and debated posting my pic too. But really, my favorite blogs are the ones that post good and so-so. I can relate to that :) Plus what you think is boring is still different to some people (like me: brown, pink, and black?! I like it!!)

It's got pink, polka dots, and bows so this outfit has my vote fo sho, but I hate it when different mirrors give different opinions! And I've only got two or three items picked out for my 30 so I best starting thinking of that stat!

For what it's worth, I really like it! It's flattering and classy and I love the peek of sock over the boot tops!

I like the little bit of fun (socks) that's peeking out of your boots! I like Pink and black together. :)

oh, don't be so hard on yourself. Monday is a day when people should not be hard on themselves. I actually think this outfit wasn't bad at all! It's black and it has a splash of colour, and it has peeking socks and belt. All the boxes ticked for me!

Girl! This was me today! NO Idea what I was thinking. I'm still debating posting the outfit tonight, but i probably will anyway. We learn from our mistakes, right? And I'm so glad your doing the challenge too! It's my first time.

You just exactly described my day today! Are we on the same style wavelength....because I really think we are! Sometimes outfits seem like a good idea in the wee hours of the morning, but then you see what they look like at work and wonder what you were thinking.

However, I like this outfit, so hopefully that helps!

Aw, really? I think it's a great outfit! I especially like that you didn't go with the traditional black boot - I love tan and black together.

But I totally have those days too.

i hate those days that you feel okay when you walk out the door, but then you realize you don't like your outfit. and then you're stuck wherever you are feeling all blah. if it's any consolation, holy cow those boots are amazing...and love the flirty polka dot socks.

so funny that we have so much in common. you may not have seen this in my blog, but my name is lauren, too. please tell me that you're going to be leading at camp this year and somehow your kids are going to sharptop in georgia, because that would be ah-mazing.
