Accessorize to Maximize

I'll post up looks from this weekend (including what party dress I wore :)) shortly, but first, an outfit post leftover from Friday that I didn't get a chance to put up this weekend.  It is so funny because my dear sartorial friend, Monkeyface did pretty much the same outfit last Friday too :).  Great styling minds think alike, right?

And I tell you what - without the bright pops of color in the accessories, this outfit is a big bore.  When I was changing out of this into my party outfit on Friday, I was struck by how much the accessories were the look, as opposed to the basic pieces underneath.

Jeans, Black Turtleneck - Gap
Grey Cardi - TJMaxx
Red Heels - Wet Seal
Scarf - Thrifted
Belt, Sunnies - Target
Socks - ?

Awesome scarf. And I love that the cardigan looks like a blazer.

I once wrote a letter to a magazine in my home country, saying that people should sometimes wear red shoes to make themselves happier and blah blah blah, however I won some perfume for it! yay, I guess red (or pink) shoes really do make people happier. :D
You look pretty, love the belted scarf, as always. :)

It just felt like a pop of red + rolled jeans kind of day, right?!

And yeah, your accessories are awesome here. The printed scarf makes it! I also reeeeaally like the tiny bit of leg showing between the socks/rolled cuff. VERY cute!!

Hi, fellow remixer here. I really like the socks with these red shoes and the jeans. Good luck on the remaining challenge.
