I hope this finds you with a good Monday going for you on top of a great weekend! Sorry for not posting over the weekend - I took a mini-holiday to see one of my best friends up in Greenwich, CT, and we even got to go into NYC for dinner, which was so fun! I love NYC - I have got some great memories associated with the city, and Saturday's just added on top of it - so, yes, I have a small romance with it :). I don't think I could ever live there - I need to see trees (and apparently the ones in NYC are deadly!) and greenery and blue skies and I don't think I can go back to living in the cold for so long. But I love, love, love going to visit it and have an adventure!
Today's outfit is really very simple. I was just feeling like wearing something very basic and couldn't decide on a dress that fit the bill for me this morning. Then as I was looking in my closet I saw this shirt that I love hanging and decided that I wanted to wear it instead of a dress. I paired it with these olive brown pants to give it a utilitarian feel, and then finally added my beloved Tahari grey ombre heels. I decided to keep accessories very simple today - just some long earrings, silver bracelets, and fish/cross necklace that I always wear. A long necklace just wasn't working right. I think it's because it just distracts from the embellishment already on the shirt.
Also, you will be seeing this version of the curly hair until Wednesday when I get it cut. I'm still trying to decide what I want to do...I'm maybe thinking a long bob (because I don't want to go too short) with layers - if there is such a thing - with side bangs. Full-on bangs just don't work right with my face. What do you think? Think a long bob with layers would look good curly/wavy/frizzy? We'll see!
PS - THANK YOU to all my recent new followers, as well as my long-time ones. You all have no idea how much I appreciate you stopping by and deciding to follow me, as well as to comment! I love hearing what you have to say!

I just got a pair similar to those pants from Old Navy this weekend on super clearance and I didn't think to pair it with a shirt this color! I was going for creams and blacks but this works!
Cute pants! I really like this simple look. Great shoes.
I have a question for you, how tall are you?

@Sarah - Thanks! I'm 5'6" - the shortest in my family. My brother and sister got blest with the tall genes on my mom's side of the family :) I got the short ones from my dad's :).

Great slacks. I love the look of mixed neutrals.
Ooh I really like the green pants. It's a very neutral but feminine look. Love it!

i simply love this look! so inspiring--the military trend, the sweet buttons on the shirt, the feminine heels.

I love the military pants with the heels - looks great!
I think you will look fantastic with a long bob!! Can't wait to see :) This look rocks, I love how the neutrals play off of each other, and they both go so well with your skin color - gorgeous!
