Whew - it has been a true Virginia summer so far this year. Hot, hot, hot temps, and now the humidity is upon us this week. The air is so thick that it smacks you in the face as soon as you walk out the door! Then as soon as 5pm rolls around, a thunderstorm with drenching rain comes in. Makes for terrible conditions at the ball field.
With the exception of yesterday - it literally rained everywhere else all around Herndon, VA EXCEPT the Herndon High School ball field. So I had to score the doubleheader that was played, which rendered taking pictures of my outfit quite impossible, since I also lost my opportunity in the morning due to landscaping men being present at the place where I've been taking most of my pics lately. And then, as soon as the last out was recorded in the second game, it literally started pouring. Typical summer ball!
I like this outfit and how I was able to take my cute white summer dress and turn it into an office appropriate look with the addition of a cardigan. The scarf might have been a little overkill, but I just love it and all the beautiful colors in it, and it matched perfectly, so I couldn't resist adding it.
Dress - J.Crew
Cardigan - Old Navy
Scarf, Sandals, Belt - UrbanOutfitters
Necklace, Parrot Ring (which I forgot to photograph, but trust me, he's really cute, even if he does turn my fingers green!) - Forever21

Cute blog! I stumbled across it through your comment on Kansas Couture (I liked the title). I love finding new ones that are just starting out (like mine). Love your style.
